I love this paranoia that's now creeping up, that nobody is reading or wants to read your blog.

To be honest, I've already joined this paranoia, I dunno if any one's actually reading but I'm not going to care.

So blogging is generally becoming more of a diary as the weeks go on. Here we are at the end of June. Blogging's barely been going on for a month by us lot, and we've already had a 'blogging crunch' and a rise again.

Its very interesting.....kind of

Well, what to write about. Yeah, I've lost inspiration. No thing's happened much has it. Lets see - well on Friday I went to Karan's with Rout, Sarah and Carrie and we played poker lol
It was going to be another day at the park but the rain was terrible. (Note to self - give Carrie her umbrella back)

And then came Saturday. Starved for the most of the morning because of the electrician turning up. My mum and Gareth are never happy with the way the house looks. We had most of the lights changed. We thought the electrician would want to turn off all electrical appliances, so we had to get up early on a bloody Saturday! and go to B&Q twice grr

We had our breakfast on the by pass opposite the school. You know the place.....

Incidentally, we needn't have gone out for breakfast or indeed get up early. Only the lights needed to be turned off....

So, in the afternoon, I played on the wii, created a Roger Federer mii cos I can lol.
In the evening, when I went to my dad's me and my sister had a Greek/Mediterranean type dinner, with salad and whatnot, and I watched LoveActually in the night. Good film

Today, I've been bored shitless. Just looked at all the newly available blogs and that is about it.
I can't wait to go to school tomorrow - that's how bored I am. Anyway I is off. Tra peeps

What an uneventful day....

With a day consisting of an AoE game with Xanthe, John, Alan, Liam, Ben and Trev and then about 50 minutes of singing practice for the Joseph Production I have little inspiration to set out on blogging but ohh well.

Its no fun getting cornered by Mrs Gray and dragged into the singing and crap, especially with only 3 weeks or something to learn the stuff.

I am not the best singer anyway even if I did not know the words so its like ahh! But how can I say no. Easily enough you'd think, but well I figured it would look good on my CV i have edit for Welsh Bacc. This CV stuff annoys me anyway because I doubt I'd be able to get a job at the present time anyway. Also, I don't want one :/ why does insist on summer holiday part time work!

I agree with the whole volunteer work though. It can be more interesting and varied, like I've done National Trust work and work in the Castles' Relay, and I could try and get volunteer work in a[n Archaeology] dig.

But anyway...what the hell is this....

From the Mountains to the Forests, From the Coast to the Valleys

Wales really is a lovely place; I went along a huge stretch of Wales last weekend during the Castles' Relay I mentioned in an earlier blog. Drive over 100 miles of Wales and you really witness amazing changes in scenery and of course, a lot of sheep!

I began last weekend by driving up to North Wales, passing through Rhayader [to get chips] and we stayed in Machynlleth for the night. On Saturday, me and my nan continued further north up to Criccieth, where the end of the second leg to the Castles' Relay ended and the third began. I love castles ... here's Criccieth's:

Just so you know, the Relay began up in Caernavon Castle, considered 'architecturally one of the most impressive of all of the castles in Wales'. I did not get a chance to visit Caernavon, but I certainly intend to :]

So anyway, after travelling up to Criccieth, we took over the race and went just outside Harlech Castle, the start of the 5th leg. We spent over an hour there before the competitors began the run to Barmouth.

Our job was to follow the last runner and if at any point it seemed that they wouldn't make it to the finish we would take them to the finish in the car. Luckily, nothing much bad happened so we didn't pick anyone up, but slow runners are annoying :-|

Moving further down through Wales, we got to Newtown at about half 8 on Saturday. Who would of thought that Newtown is practically the clubbing capital of Mid Wales. The amount of pubs and clubs, with hordes of student plastics in them was large. You can hear them when you try to sleep ..... grr

Sunday, we continued southwards; we marshalled the race from Drover's Arms to Brecon. Drover's Arms is the most pointless race start in Wales to be honest. Its in the middle of nowhere, with one toilet for the 53 runners that took part, the marshals and the countless supporters. I was happy to leave it, because Welsh mountains' views [however beautiful] were getting boring at that point.

After a short visit to Brecon, we speeded to South Wales to marshal the Caerphilly-Cardiff race. This leg began in the car park coming off the Crescent, opposite Caerphilly Castle. The runners ran past the Miner's Hospital into Castle View and down the Taff Trail. We could barely keep up with them as there are no roads, so we gave up the chase at Tongwynlais, and drove straight to end of the race at Cardiff Castle =D

Yeah, so Wales is good =D

I can't wait to do it next year; my nan says i should have to do the driving next year, which I agree with and hope for. But never will I run a leg; no way! If you saw some of the legs you'd understand, and the heat last weekend was immense. It would've been perfect for a beach ;|

'Dancing On A Friday Night!'

Not really dancing tonight (wouldn't mind though) but I just like the Darkness' song :]

Anyway, today I got happy :)
Out of french finally!!! wooo .... I did look a tad bit stupid today [as per usual] because I went to French for an hour before telling Miss I didn't want to do French next year and she said I shoulda said when I got there :-| ... still, the lesson was alright. Just watched french film extracts and judged them. We didn't even speak French all lesson! Annoyed Phil a bit and got out early. Now my Friday afternoons are really free :DAlthough, are the timetables changing then next year? I dunno

So Plants vs Zombies! There must be a blog on this :P

For those who don't know about it [although I doubt there are any] it's the new craze in 6th form gaming, and I must say its beaten the old AoE obsession. You look around the IT room now; you will not find a game in progress ... well I certainly haven't seen any. And this is probably a good thing because it leads to a lot of rivalry and lack of socialising. As John said 'we've spent pretty much the entire year in this room'. I have nothing against the room but I do wish we'd talk more lol.

I'm way over AoE now; it's so boring now especially with all the cheaters on it. I would rant for hours but John doesn't have any blog and has expressed his negative feelings on it so no bloggering person would be particuarly interested in AoE rants...

So, going back to the quitting of French and of course, I really want to remove Chemistry from my timetable, I'm slightly worried about the lack of work to do throughout the day. Although, I am planning on adding Psychology [and nothing you say Xanthe will change my mind] I will still have way to much free time on my hands. You'd think that was good but not really. I don't want to spend an excessive amount of time in the computer room. I need to find some hobby to do (this is an idea nicked off Chloe's blog by the way).
Well, for the holidays I'm planning to get back into guitar; well I'll look at it at least. Also, I would love to start learning about driving in some form. I'd feel much better even if I just read about a car or two. I feel out of place when people can have conversations about cars and problems and how great they all are, while I stand there completely bemused.
Also, in the holdiays, I want to work towards my IOLP targets - find out best archaeology/ancient history courses in universities, read up on archaeology, and going on a real dig :) If i manage to find one I could volunteer for, that would be good. I really wanna find something interesting [although I probably won't but you know. I wanna see something historical and learn about it. It'd give me something to do. I don't really see how I could incorporate that into school :/ but well its something.

Good thing about the school computers ... You can blog!! :P
Also, Gwyn is happpy that he has mobile blogging; meant to take a random photo today and put it on here, but I forgot. Will do though :D

Yeah, so this weekend I'm off to do the directing of the Castles' Relay - a run through Wales where a person runs from castle to castle and when they get there another person takes over. Me, my nan, my mum, and 3 of my aunties are driving in front of the runners and putting up signs to show them where to go. Bit of hard work, and I wouldn't be surprised if I get lost or something, but we do get free meals :D

Anyway, I'm off now cos my mum's having a go at me for not packing so tra peoples

World Going To Shit [BNP Style]

So, there I was on Sunday night after having watched the conclusion programme for the Apprentice, the results to the European Parliament vote were on the tv. I couldn't be arsed going to bed so i stayed up to watch it. Imagine my horror as I discover that the sickening British National Party (BNP) are actually gaining in votes.

I thought to myself who in their right mind would willingly allow those bastards, successors to the 'mass-murdering fuckhead' [from Eddie Izzard], Fuhrer Adolf Hitler.

I continued watching hoping that the fascists would gain no seats in the Parliament [which in my opinion, they never rightfully deserve - Fascism in all its forms should be made illegal]. However, Yorkshire & the Humber, and the North West of England both gave the BNP enough votes to allow them two seats. The representatives are Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons.

This has depressed me a lot, the fact that British politics has got so bad that we are voting racist twats into power, but there you go. I hope they're ousted as quickly as possible

In more recent news, 'BNP leader Nick Griffin has been pelted with eggs and forced to abandon a press conference outside Parliament.'

Ohh, the hilarity :]
At least there's a few sensible people out there ... I wish I was the egg-thrower.

Weekend At Dinefwr

Probably to be my longest blog yet - a whole weekend with many things I found exciting and therefore noted down - I am sorry I have no proper photos yet. I have to wait until I visit my nan's house to retrieve them, but I will get them.

But anyway, I must get on and write this because I am certainly falling behind in blogging; working several days behind can improve your memory but I'd like to be writing up to date blogs.

So, last Friday, after the picnic I've previously mentioned, I went off in the car with my mum (Rhian), my sister (Eleri), my cousin (Kayleigh) and Gareth to West Wales. A lot of my family were already at the House or driving in that western direction before us, although it wasn't particularly late.

The purpose of this weekend then:
to work voluntarily for the National Trust to create a better natural environment for people to appreciate.

Me and my family have done this kind of work before in the Gower, several times and I've always enjoyed it :) Work can consist of improving public countryside paths, clearing stingys, cutting down unwanted bushes for easy access. This weekend, we did gardening...woo. To improve this cottage which was to become the wonderful holiday home for the rich.
Admittedly, the garden was in a state when we arrived, with brambles and stumps of old trees scattered across it, but really, gardening seems less National Trust work, and more something I'd want some money for. But oh well, it was fun nonetheless.

No work happened on Friday night of course. That was time for getting settled in our part of the manor house (which was huge by the way). We also had to get used to the fact Chinese students were staying in the same place as us. Not the same bedroom but just upstairs. They spoke good English and didn't get in our way, so it was pretty easy to live with.

The night led to such frivolities as excessive drinking, playing 'Who's Who?' and a midnight walk to Dinefwr Castle.

The home-made wine was to be too much for Gareth who got pissed out of his mind, on 'Elderbarb Wine' [due to the fact he couldn't say 'berry']. He created new words throughout the night, such as 'uzuzu' and 'nuushunbowel'. Anyone understand?
Later in the night, some of us stumbled our way up to the castle. I'm surprised none of were killed, but the castle was amazing. The views were impressive too, the midnight mist covered the valley floor. Lovely =]

Saturday

And so on to the work...the first day of the weekend was largely about digging up the garden.
One side of the garden was covered in weeds, brambles, and an assortment of generally ugly plants, while the other had grass.
We dug up the garden in horrible rain [although I discovered later that West Wales' rain was nothing compared to the torrential downpour in Caerphilly] with a few small breaks. After wokring for hours, we left the garden in the afternoon, put off by the rain and returned to the House. I lazed around after showering and wrote a few notes for this very blog and sang along to the Killers, while the rest of the family looked around the amazing holiday cottage with its 6 en suite bedrooms, etc.

The evening consisted of burning random things with candles :D Pictionary which I absolutely love. So much fun, it is, although my team lost :(

Sunday

Twas a good day today; the gardening continued and by lunchtime it looked great. We had replanted the nice flowers around the edges of the garden, and the crap that was there previously had been taken away.
And....I found a fossil :) of a trilobite, not exactly rare but you know. It was all good, and I like old things :D

The Tea Episode was rather a downer on the day; lunchtime my auntie Sue ends up throwing boiling hot tea all down my right arm, thankfully leading to no blisters, but it bloody burnt lol

After a quick daylight visit to the castle we packed up and left for home. As I mentioned before, I stupidly left one of my socks there even though I was sure I got everything. I also left my phone :O which I've been without until today when my nan gave it back to me. Its charging now :D I love my phone

So yeah, in conclusion the weekend was great and I can't wait to do it again.

p.s I also love the deer and baby rabbits in the fields around the House :]
